IT Governance Officer

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Duties and Responsibilities Planning and Governance
  • Handling Internal and External Audits and follow ups of ML/CL Observations.
  • Establish and develop appropriate policies, procedures, and practices in relation to governance and planning functions.
  • Ensure and monitor effective implementations of the policies and procedures.
  • Ensure necessary awareness of the IT policies and procedures.
  • Follow up with internal Technology section to overcome all the internal and external observation.
  • Quarterly assessment of the IT policies implementation within IT Operations.
  • Handling VAPT and Patches follow ups internally with SOC and other functions.
  • Manage inventory of hardware and software.
  • Coordinate/Work effectively in the Internal Audit program with the internal and external Auditors
  • Act as a liaison between the IT department and the Information Security department.

Preferred:

  • ITIL/COBIT or any other framework Foundation.
  • ITIL advanced practitioner qualifications would be desirable.
  • 2+ years’ experience in Governance & Release Management.
  • Thorough understanding of the principles of Change and Release Management.
  • Preference will be given to service desk experience from an Insurance IT or top-tier financial institution IT background.
  • A good negotiator and communication skills with end users and senior management.
  • Business and Technical English Fluency.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills.

Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree level from a leading academic institution.
  • Good knowledge of all IT technical components.
  • Good knowledge of documenting business requirements.
  • 1+ years’ experience in IT Governance & Release Management.
  • Understanding of ITIL/COBIT or any other framework foundation
